Sensual, Thoughtful, and Very Naughty
Do you gaze across the ocean pondering its vastness, mystery and unexplored depths? Our collective history is filled with references to sea creatures, sirens, and ancient gods. As our technology has progressed, some of this fascination has shifted towards the unknowns of space. Still, the ocean elicits strong feelings of wonder and longing…perhaps fear. What is it about space and the ocean that calls to us? There is an element of the heroic journey at play that inspires our sense of adventure and fuels our dreams and/or nightmares. Carl Jung suggests the ocean (and space) are symbolic of the mysterious unexplored depths of our mind and the vastness of our soul.
What do I wonder and long for…perhaps fear? On my journey, I am filled with wonder and longing for her AND I fear drowning in her body.
“You see a girl’s brown body dancing through the turquoise,
and her footprints make you follow where the sky loves the sea.
When your fingers find her, she drowns you in her body,
Carving deep blue ripples in the tissues of your mind.”
